Im 2014 hat die Event-Firma "Secret Cinema" die Kleinstadt aus Zurück in die Zukunft an einem geheimen Ort in London nachgebaut und zum Kinovergnügen der ganz besonderen Art geladen.
 
Alle Besucher haben sich im Stil von 1955 (das Jahr, in das Marty McFly in Teil 1 der Trilogie versehentlich reist) gekleidet und einen Hill Valley-Namen und -Beruf zugeteilt bekommen. Wir waren beispielsweise Studenten an der Hill Valley High School und mussten Hausaufgaben und Fotos für den Spind mitbringen. Wir hätten an einer Schulstunde teilnehmen können, haben aber lieber geschwänzt – das hätte Marty auch so gemacht.

In 2014, event company 'Secret Cinema' set off to recreate the town of Hill Valley in London and to provide people with a one-off cinema experience. All visitors were given a Hill Valley name and occupation and were asked to dress up in 1955 clothes – the year Marty McFly travelled to unintentionally. We, for example, were students at Hill Valley High School and had to bring homework and photos for the locker. We could participate in school lessons and everything but decided to skip that. Marty would skip school, too. Or at least turn up late.

In Hill Valley gab es so viel zu sehen! Rund um den Courthouse Square gibt es viele Läden und Geschäfte zum Entdecken. An der Texaco-Tankstelle machen die Tankwarte den Frauen schöne Augen. Im Reisebüro können wirklich Reisen gebucht werden. Im Kino läuft wirklich Cattle Queen of Montana (der Film auf der Anzeigetafel des Kinos in Zurück in die Zukunft). In Lous Diner gibt's feine Cheeseburger und Milchshakes.

There was so much to see in Hill Valley! Doc Brown's mansion where he performed experiments. The Texaco petrol station where employees dance around visitors, several stores, some of which professionally operated, like a travel agency where you could book real-life voyages. There was also the cinema which actually showed Cattle Queen of Montana with Ronald Reagan, the film shown by BTTF Hill Valley's cinema. We had a burger and a milk shake at Lou's Diner (operated by Byron high-qulity burger chain), encouraged a very great Goldie Wilson lookalike to run for Mayor, observed several interactions between actors and visitors, took pictures with the disposable cameras sold on-site (electronic devices were strictly banned as they didn't exist in 1955), enjoyed ourselves and soaked up the atmosphere as much as we could.

Am Abend haben sich dann alle Besucher auf dem Platz niedergelassen, um den Film (auf die Fassade des Gerichtsgebäudes projiziert) zu schauen. Dabei haben Schauspieler die Schlüsselszenen live mitgespielt. So haben beispielsweise libysche Terroristen in einem VW-Bus wirklich Marty in der DeLorean-Zeitmaschine rund um den Platz gejagt, auf dem wir sassen. Marty ist über Biffs Auto gelaufen und wieder aufs Skateboard gesprungen. Doc Brown hat oben bei der Uhr das Kabel wieder angehängt und ist daran auf den Platz hinuntergesaust.
 
Secret Hill Valley war ein einmalig tolles Erlebnis und die Reise nach London definitiv wert.

In the evening, after several hours of strolling around, people started to settle down on the Courthouse Square. During the film, a lot of key scenes were re-enacted by actors simultaneously. Libyans in a VW bus chased Marty in a DeLorean Time Machine replica around the square we sat on. Marty ran over Biff's car and jumped back onto his skateboard. Doc was up by the clock and slid down the cable.
 
Secret Hill Valley was a truly amazing experience. I'd go again without any hesitation.
